I played the course last weekend and it’s gorgeous. Some local players are working hard to make it even better for all of us. This course is on high desert terrain and is a lot of fun with holes including tunnels, mandatories and a hanging basket. There are cactus around and some hiking on steep slopes. So please wear appropriate footwear. Also be careful picking up your disc with your throwing hand because of the cactus. The course is setup and flagged as of now, including the 5 temp holes. All baskets will be in position on Friday June 26 at the latest. Maps will be available hopefully Monday June 22. The only OB on the whole course will be the road along hole 6, (asphalt is the line) and the parking lot by holes 18 and 1. The parking lot...

In December 2010, Ray Woodruff and I approached the Mile High Disc Golf Club (MHDGC) Board with a request of support for a women’s only disc golf tournament. The Board said “yes” and Ray and I were off and running. Our first event at the Mansion course proved that a women’s only event in Colorado was viable and in fact could help promote women’s disc golf in our region. Since the June 2011 event, the number of women competing in MHDGC events has increased dramatically. The RMWDGC, along with other initiatives designed to promote women’s disc golf, have had a very positive impact on our sport. The event has grown over three short ye...

Every year it seems to be a scramble to get the final9 safari layout at the Badlands, so I thought I'd write it down for prosperity. Remember that these holes are usually in the long/very long pin positions, which makes it easier walking and better flow for this safari course.

Safari Hole 1: tee 1 to hole 16

Safari Hole 2: tee 17 to hole 1

Safari Hole 3: tee 2 to hole 4

Safari Hole 4: tee 3 to hole 7

Safari Hole 5: tee 8 to hole 9

Safari Hole 6: old tee 10 to hole 11

Safari Hole 7: pro tee 12 to hole 13

Safari Hole 8: tee 14 to hole 9

Safari Hole 9: 12 dropzone to hole 3

The other one was a full article with pictures from the event, dated Tuesday, 6/21/11.

So I'm the TD for the 'mountain region' for the Vibram/Player's Cup Match Play event. This year the Player's Cup is match play and not singles, and there's 8 regions participating. The skinny is that there will be 64 total players sent to Florida to participate in a huge match play event with I believe a $5k payout to whoever comes out on top. The date of the final matches for the Player's Cup are November 19-21.

I need to have the qualifier sometime in September but Sept. is pretty booked with tournaments already. What I'm doing now is trying to plant the seed to see who all is interested (Alex), who wants to try to qualify, and who can a...

I was just informed that the dates for the Johnny Roberts Memorial tournament and the Mile High Classic tournament have been changed. No info explaining why yet, but wanted to let everyone know.

Johnny Roberts Memorial is now scheduled for September 4 & 5.

Mile High Classic is now scheduled for October 16th.

I have changed both dates on our Events page. However I have already printed a bunch of CDSA brochures with the Johnny Roberts Memorial original date of Sept 11&12. So please disregard that date if you have gotten a brochure this spring. I will indeed print more brochures for the High Plains Challenge that have the correct dates.

Sorry ...
