Hello! Thank you for registering for the Solstice Soirée hosted by Sunlight Mountain Resort. This event will be focused on fun and camaraderie, enjoying a weekend of disc golf fun, food and lodging all in one location. We have 100 players that will be playing one around of 20 holes each day. In addition there will be some extra fun non-sanctioned events happening as well like a Putting Competition, Mini Disc Golf Competition, Glow Round after dark and a Throw Down the Mountain Accuracy Challenge. More details on these events will be coming later. If you didn’t sign up for these extra fun events during registration, you can pay and register on site, once you see how fun it is.

There is a bar in the resort that will be open for us Saturday and Sunday. I am still in discussion with the resort about a dinner Saturday night for us and maybe breakfast Sunday morning, although it might be too expensive. The Brettelberg Condos each have their own kitchen, as well as a hot tub, fire pit, game room and outdoor grill for condo guests. The Sunlight Lodge is a Bed & Breakfast that also has its own bar. I arranged discounts for us at both the Sunlight Lodge B&B as well as the Brettelberg Condos. See the images below with the promotional discount codes. You can call the Lodge starting Tuesday, May 17 at 970-945-5225. The Condos can be booked online or over the phone.

Camping is available in the parking lot of the resort for $10. You pay me directly and I’ll give you a voucher. There is also free camping in the National Forest not far away, No campgrounds, just raw forest with no facilities.

The course is not there yet as it is still mud season up there. As soon as the ground dries enough the course will be setup, most likely the first week of June or so.

Please email me if you are planning on practicing or staying on the mountain Friday July 1. They might open the bar for you if there are enough people that let me know.

Please email if you are planning on camping in the lot for $10. I will rent a port-a-let if there is a bunch of people planning on camping in the lot. However we can use that cost for prizes if there isn’t a need. There are two sets of bathrooms just up the steps from parking lot in the resort buildings.

One last chance to let me know if you are interested in playing the Glow Round for $20 that includes a brand new Nite Ize disc golf disc. I only want to make one big purchase and don’t want to buy too many extras. I think I might buy a couple extra Nite Ize discs as well as some regular glow plastic discs, as people might get excited to play the Glow round after sitting in the bar a while.

Everyone will benefit if we have a few volunteers to help as spotters. So if you know someone who is willing to spend a few hours on a ski slope in the mountains, please have them contact me.

I am working on moving the CDSA website and will have an official event website soon. Follow @SolsticeSoiree on Twitter for all tournament communications. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
