 \nAfter much consideration, we’ve decided to cancel the Red Feather 
 Open (July 7-8) this year due to complications caused by the High Park
  Fire. All registered players will receive a full refund of their entr
 y fee.I apologize for the short notice, but after a lot of waiting and
  hoping, we feel this is the wisest course of action at this juncture.
  After the fire jumped the Poudre River (Hwy 14) this last weekend and
  destroyed many homes in the Glacier View area, near the Red Feather R
 oad (CR 74E) and Sundance Trail DGC, holding the tournament became imp
 ractical. The Red Feather Road has been re-opened the last I heard, bu
 t there are sections where cars are only being allowed through with es
 corts. (In other words, if you don’t have a really good reason to tr
 avel that road, you probably shouldn’t) Hopefully the situation will
  improve, but if the fire flairs up again like last weekend, that road
  could easily be fully closed again. I spoke to Dan (Sundance Trail ow
 ner) and it was clear that they are very busy with their precautionary
  preparations and Frisbee golf is the last thing they need to think ab
 out at this time. Beaver Meadows remains open and well clear and safe 
 from the fire, but the logistics of getting everyone there, with the m
 ain road in doubt, is still a major issue. In addition, both courses a
 re in need of some substantial work to get them tourney-ready and beca
 use of road closures and everything, I have been unable to get up ther
 e to see to that. The fire and related issues could persist for the re
 st of the summer, and given the number of CO tournaments already on th
 e schedule later in the season, we feel that a postponement is unreali
 stic. Hopefully all will be well with the fire and the courses and the
  RFO will return next year better than ever!In the absence of the RFO,
  we will be holding a fundraiser event on Saturday, July 7th, at Edora
  Park in Fort Collins with all proceeds going to benefit the victims o
 f the fire, and the ongoing fight against it. I’ll have more details
  about the event soon, but it should be a fun time and this is a way f
 or the disc golf community to have a positive impact on this sad situa
 tion. I hope that everyone who planned to attend the RFO and many more
  can make it out and help us raise some funds.If anyone has any questi
