mr matt james, thank you for letting me know the info. amature sounds a little strange to me but i will take it. i rather play by the rules, and work my way up!but if thats the case with amature status for me till you figure out were i am at than right on. so glad you have a site  and place were fellow disc golfers can hang, get info, play etc.will send the 15 or 20 dollers so i can register and start playing in some tournys. i live in cortez colorado, my home course is centenial corse, good course, but dont be fooled by its toughness, it eats discs, will take you alive! lol!i have pared the course last year at 2010 ute mountain classic. so it can be done. i am out there as much as i can to get better. so tell me sir, werwe would be the closets and next tourny in oct that i can joiun if possible. montecello, or mancos, or durango. if you could get me info if you got it on tournys, or i can look on the site for the nearest one. anyways hope to meet you and talk with you sept 10 11 for the ute mountain classic here in cortez. i take tiger woods saying seriously, concentrate, focuse, make shots, and leave any outside interferance out of you head. if you focus on that than you will not make shots. play good golf and if you place top ten or top 5 than great.

Hello Scotty! You can get points for the Thin Air Tour by joining the CDSA with an annual membership. It's only $15 for individuals, $10 for amateur women and juniors and $25 for a family. You can pay for you membership and join in the "CDSA Membership/Donation" button on the top of this CDSA website.

Basically you already have amateur status. Disc golfers who turn Pro, are the ones who have a specific status. Everyone else who play's is an amateur. The best way to judge which division you play in by competing in a Thin Air Tour event or PDGA tournament. These will give you an idea of where you are compared to the other regular players in the state.

To answer you earlier question, I try to have all disc events on this website. Just check the events page to see everything happening throughout the state, and sometimes region.

Let me know if you have any other questions or comments. I'm happy to help.

how do i join this point series?and how do i enter. this question is for anybody out there in the disc golf world.

just a beg disc golf player. i have been playing since sept of last year. i did two tournys, i placed in top 10 in each tourny. so getting out there and placing pretty high in each event. what i was thinking if i win this one in sept at my local park, than i go from beg, to intermediate, win that one, than go advanced, than try to qualify for amatuer status. i can par each hole like it was nothing, without even thinking. so do you think i have waht it takes to be a good disc golfer?any thoughts ideas, or info would be great.
