2012 is the 20th anniversary of the CDSA and I'm hoping to make it a great one! I would love to have discs, mini's towels, shirts and maybe other stuff, to have a cool 20th anniversary logo. I am experienced in Photoshop, but I know we do have some artists in the disc community as well.

If you have the time to put together some sketches or even a full color finished piece, I would greatly appreciate it. It would be wonderful to have a few examples to review at our board meeting on…

We had a ton of Colorado and out of state players come to this years states, including 2 world champions and some top touring pros as well. I sent out a bunch of press releases from the CDSA before the event and in turn, the 3 biggest TV stations as well as the Grand Junction Sentinel newspaper came out and made news stories of our event. I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the 11 new CDSA members that signed up in the last couple weeks! Everyone who play's disc sports in the state thanks you too. The more members we have, the better the sport is for everyone. Not only does more members mean bigger and better awards for the Thin Air Tour, but also it means more support for the Basket Donation Program, promotion of the sport through this website, press releases and brochures and also support future education…

We got good responses from the press releases I sent to the Fort Morgan Times newspaper. They published 2 articles for the event. One as a promo for the event on Monday 6/13/11 that was pretty much word for word from my CDSA press release. The other one was a full article with pictures from the event, dated Tuesday, 6/21/11.

Since the High Plains Challenge is on the Thin Air Tour, part of what we do for TAT event is send out press releases to get some exposure for the event. GET YOUR TEAMS TOGETHER FOR THIS YEARS CDSA THIN AIR TOUR! We've added another component of the 19 year running, CDSA Thin Air Tour. In addition to competing individually, we are now doing teams competition. You will need a Team Captain and Co-Captain and a roster of 12 players in pro and amateur divisions. - CDSA gave $100 to RM Women's Dic Golf Championships tournament

- Basket Donation ACCEPTED for brand new Outback course in Greeley, CO.

- At least 60% of membership fee's will be given back as awards, more if we can. The more members we have, the better the sport is for everyone!

2011 CDSA Spring Board Meeting…

I have sent out CDSA presss releases to the following media  outlets, for the 34th Annual Grateful Disc Frisbee Festival. Please let me know if there are other places I should be sending it to as well. I have emailed a few different people at each of these locations yesterday afternoon and will be mailing out hard copies with the 2011 CDSA brochure, as soon as I get it printed later this week.

Some of you may have noticed some stakes and painting on the ground at the Badlands South / Lighthouse course. Well the fact is, the South Suburban Parks Department has purchased the old boat storage/Lighthouse building area. They will be using the existing road, where the picnic table now sits by tee 1. The course had to change because they are going to have to take out existing holes 2 and 3. There will be a pond constructed where the bowl of hole 3 is now.

I'm sorry to say that we have decided to cancel the 9 Hole Challenge Series. It was a lot of work for not much gain or benefit. We didn't have very many people show up. In fact, the most people we had come to any of the NC9HC events last year was 9. I'm grateful to those who did play the inaugural series last year. It was indeed a lot of fun! But the fact remains, as long as I am doing all the work to keep the CDSA running, I can't do two different series of events again this…

Well the ball is rolling with full steam. I have gotten our 2010 champions mini's ordered, setup the 2011 PayPal memberships button and added 99% percent of all the disc events into our calendar. There are only a couple more events to add, once I confirm their specifics. I've reworked the CDSA Thin Air Tour Sanctioning Agreement and am working on the 2011 Press Release so I can get it out for Grateful Disc, now a little more than a month away.
