As the last event on the 2012 Thin Air Tour, I have sent out CDSA press releases to the media outlets listed below for the 2012 Johnny Roberts Memorial disc golf tournament. I wanted to let everyone know that I sent our CDSA press releases for the 20120 Colorado State Disc Golf Championships on Monday. I emailed the list of media outlets below on Monday and the hard copy press release along with a CDSA brochure went out Tuesday morning. It took all week, but we finally have some media stories and exposure as a result of the press releases I sent. Every year it seems to be a scramble to get the final9 safari layout at the Badlands, so I thought I'd write it down for prosperity. Remember that these holes are usually in the long/very long pin positions, which makes it easier walking and better flow for this safari course.

We had a ton of Colorado and out of state players come to this years states, including 2 world champions and some top touring pros as well. I sent out a bunch of press releases from the CDSA before the event and in turn, the 3 biggest TV stations as well as the Grand Junction Sentinel newspaper came out and made news stories of our event. GET YOUR TEAMS TOGETHER FOR THIS YEARS CDSA THIN AIR TOUR! We've added another component of the 19 year running, CDSA Thin Air Tour. In addition to competing individually, we are now doing teams competition. You will need a Team Captain and Co-Captain and a roster of 12 players in pro and amateur divisions. I have sent out CDSA presss releases to the following media  outlets, for the 34th Annual Grateful Disc Frisbee Festival. Some of you may have noticed some stakes and painting on the ground at the Badlands South / Lighthouse course. Well the fact is, the South Suburban Parks Department has purchased the old boat storage/Lighthouse building area. They will be using the existing road, where the picnic table now sits by tee 1. The course had to change because they are going to have to take out existing holes 2 and 3. There will be a pond constructed where the bowl of hole 3 is now.

I'm sorry to say that we have decided to cancel the 9 Hole Challenge Series. It was a lot of work for not much gain or benefit. We didn't have very many people show up. In fact, the most people we had come to any of the NC9HC events last year was 9. I'm grateful to those who did play the inaugural series last year. It was indeed a lot of fun! But the fact remains, as long as I am doing all the work to keep the CDSA running, I can't do two different series of events again this…
