2011 CDSA Spring Board Meeting Minutes

Here are some highlights from this document and meeting:

- TEAMS competition on Thin Air Tour

- CDSA gave $100 to RM Women's Dic Golf Championships tournament

- Basket Donation ACCEPTED for brand new Outback course in Greeley, CO.

- At least 60% of membership fee's will be given back as awards, more if we can. The more members we have, the better the sport is for everyone!

Sent Out 2011 Grateful Disc Press Releases

I have sent out CDSA presss releases to the following media outlets, for the 34th Annual Grateful Disc Frisbee Festival. Please let me know if there are other places I should be sending it to as well. I have emailed a few different people at each of these locations yesterday afternoon and will be mailing out hard copies with the 2011 CDSA brochure, as soon as I get it printed later this week.

Course Changes at Badlands South / Lighthouse / David Lorenz Park

Some of you may have noticed some stakes and painting on the ground at the Badlands South / Lighthouse course. Well the fact is, the South Suburban Parks Department has purchased the old boat storage/Lighthouse building area. They will be using the existing road, where the picnic table now sits by tee 1. The course had to change because they are going to have to take out existing holes 2 and 3. There will be a pond constructed where the bowl of hole 3 is now.

9 Hole Challenge Series Cancelled

I'm sorry to say that we have decided to cancel the 9 Hole Challenge Series. It was a lot of work for not much gain or benefit. We didn't have very many people show up. In fact, the most people we had come to any of the NC9HC events last year was 9. I'm grateful to those who did play the inaugural series last year. It was indeed a lot of fun! But the fact remains, as long as I am doing all the work to keep the CDSA running, I can't do two different series of events again this…

2011 is Going to be a Busy Year

Well the ball is rolling with full steam. I have gotten our 2010 champions mini's ordered, setup the 2011 PayPal memberships button and added 99% percent of all the disc events into our calendar. There are only a couple more events to add, once I confirm their specifics. I've reworked the CDSA Thin Air Tour Sanctioning Agreement and am working on the 2011 Press Release so I can get it out for Grateful Disc, now a little more than a month away.

NC9HC#4 -Denver#1 CANCELED

Unfortunately, we have to cancel this Saturday's NC9HC#4. I will not be around to run it and there are 3 other events happening the same day, so I doubt we would have people come anyway. There is a PDGA C-Tier event in Cheyenne, Paul is having an Ace Race event at his course in Pine and also the Johnny Roberts Memorial Fundraiser tournament is all happening this Saturday.

Please don't worry about missing this event. I won't penalize anyone on points or anything like that…

2010 CDSA Highlights Document

I have finished the 2010 CDSA Highlights Document. This is what I'm hoping people will learn, concerning everything we're doing to revive the CDSA this year. I have posted the 2010 Thin Air Tour Points and the NC9HC#1 scores. Please check out the TAT/NC9HC Results tab for which ever events you are looking for. Mailed Out All CDSA Tags / Mini's

I have finally had a chance to get all the CDSA award tags, champions mini's and membership cards mailed off this week. There was a couple of old tags I had that did not get out over the last couple years, because previous leadership just waited until seeing members at tournaments to give them their CDSA stuff. NC9HC - Northern Colorado 9 Hole Challenge Series

2010 is the inaugural year for the Northern Colorado 9 Hole Challenge Series, (NC9HC). This series of one day tournaments is FOR CDSA MEMBERS ONLY! We will be playing 3 different 9 hole courses on 5 different Saturdays and since they will be non-sanctioned tournaments, everyone will be playing for cash! Spammers had control, but no longer

When I originally designed this website I wanted to keep it open for anyone to join us and add their own content. That specifically has been a problem with the CDSA websites in the past, so I wanted to have a different website that was open. Well I was reminded on how vulnerable that type of website is and we were spammed pretty hard yesterday and today.
