I'm sorry to say that we have decided to cancel the 9 Hole Challenge Series. It was a lot of work for not much gain or benefit. We didn't have very many people show up. In fact, the most people we had come to any of the NC9HC events last year was 9. I'm grateful to those who did play the inaugural series last year. It was indeed a lot of fun! But the fact remains, as long as I am doing all the work to keep the CDSA running, I can't do two different series of events again this year.
Once we can get more members and good people who are interested in helping out, then we can look at starting the 9 Hole Challenge series again. I'm not against a separate series of events at all, like I said it was a ton of fun. But it was made obvious to me at the meeting yesterday that I might be trying too hard and spreading myself thin. So I'm going to focus on trying to improve what the CDSA is good at and has been doing for 19 years now, the Thin Air Tour. I think this new teams component will bring a lot more memberships and interest in the CDSA again.
