So I played jellystone course the other day, in larkspur for the first time. I was pretty stoked about the time i got hole 3. I  thought the course was fun, challenging, and over all great, I thinks it's worth the five bucks to play the course. Anybody else played it??? What's your thoughts on the course??

Below is the list of media outlets that I sent press releases to. Please let me know if you think there are other media that I should send the HPC press releases to.

GET YOUR TEAMS TOGETHER FOR THIS YEARS CDSA THIN AIR TOUR!

We've added another component of the 19 year running, CDSA Thin Air Tour. In addition to competing individually, we are now doing teams competition. You will need a Team Captain and Co-Captain and a roster of 12 players in pro and amateur divisions. Basically, 2 pro’s and 2 am’s compete as a team, in each individual round of all Thin Air Tour events. Team Captains determine who in the roster of 12 players per team, should play which individual round(s). Winners will be based on total scores. So if the 2 pro’s shoot a total -8 under par between both of them and the 2 am’s shoot +8 over par bet...

I've beeen asking tournament directors of 2011 events, if they would like to have their events on the CDSA Thin Air Tour. I have received a few "no" responses, with our economy as the reason. I can totally understand and they shouldn't feel bad about it. I certainly do NOT want to take money away from tournaments. That's just counter productive. CDSA Thin Air Tour events should have a lot of players and money coming in, in order to give back to the CDSA to help support, enhance and promote our growing sport.

At This point, there is only 1 tournament that might still become part of the 2011 Thin Air tour. That is the Bloom at Beaver Ranch ...

Hello! Check out the Clubs tab on this website. I have links to their own websites and some RSS feeds going. I would think that for Brighton, you should check out the 3Rivers club and the NOCO club. Maybe even the Mile High disc golf club. They have a lot of members all over the front range.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help. Welcome to one of the friendliest spo...

I have sent out CDSA presss releases to the following media  outlets, for the 34th Annual Grateful Disc Frisbee Festival. Please let me know if there are other places I should be sending it to as well. I have emailed a few different people at each of these locations yesterday afternoon and will be mailing out hard copies with the 2011 CDSA brochure, as soon as I get it printed later this week.

Some of you may have noticed some stakes and painting on the ground at the Badlands South / Lighthouse course. Well the fact is, the South Suburban Parks Department has purchased the old boat storage/Lighthouse building area. They will be using the existing road, where the picnic table now sits by tee 1. The course had to change because they are going to have to take out existing holes 2 and 3. There will be a pond constructed where the bowl of hole 3 is now.

So a couple weeks ago Ronnie Ross, Mike and Alissa Dunn, myself and two representatives from South Suburban Parks Department went and decided what the new holes should be. All of these new changes will probably happen in the nex...

I'm sorry to say that we have decided to cancel the 9 Hole Challenge Series. It was a lot of work for not much gain or benefit. We didn't have very many people show up. In fact, the most people we had come to any of the NC9HC events last year was 9. I'm grateful to those who did play the inaugural series last year. It was indeed a lot of fun! But the fact remains, as long as I am doing all the work to keep the CDSA running, I can't do two different series of events again this year.

Once we can get more members and good people who are interested in helping out, then we can look at starting the 9 Hole Challenge series again. I'm not against a separate series of events at all, like I s...

The date of the first 9 Hole Challenge event for CDSA members only, has changed from Saturday April 2, to the next day SUNDAY, April 3. I haven't really advertised this series yet, even though this first one is coming up soon. There is a new fundraising event for the CSU Disc Golf Team that has been set for Saturday, April 3. So I wanted to accommodate anyone who want's to support the states only college disc golf team and move my date to the next day.

Here is a quick link to the CDSA 9HC #1 Event Page.

Please respond on this forum if you had already planned on this date for the CDSA 9HC #1. I'm hoping this date change isn't a big deal. But don...

Well the ball is rolling with full steam. I have gotten our 2010 champions mini's ordered, setup the 2011 PayPal memberships button and added 99% percent of all the disc events into our calendar. There are only a couple more events to add, once I confirm their specifics. I've reworked the CDSA Thin Air Tour Sanctioning Agreement and am working on the 2011 Press Release so I can get it out for Grateful Disc, now a little more than a month away.

I've gotten our bank accounts in order and have almost complete reviving the old Columbine Memorial Fund. I don't think we should do anything with that money right now, at least I don't have any idea's for it. I just wanted to make sure it is ...

I have also posted the NC9HC Series scores as of 9-13-10. We still have one more event to play this coming Saturday, September 18 in denver. We'll be playing Globeville, Red Rocks Community College and Ken Caryl. I have changed the scoring system for the NC9HC series as well. It will be based on your average score, for all events you play.

In addition I have figured out the Skins Tournament, BBQ and Awards Celebration o...

I sent out another round of press releases this morning from the CDSA to all of our Denver media outlets, regarding Avery Jenkins playing in the Johnny Roberts Memorial this weekend. Here is the headline "This will be an excellent opportunity for everyone to watch one of disc golf's best in the World, play in Denver at the oldest course in the state!" Hopefully we will get some media coverage with him here.

So I'm the TD for the 'mountain region' for the Vibram/Player's Cup Match Play event. This year the Player's Cup is match play and not singles, and there's 8 regions participating. The skinny is that there will be 64 total players sent to Florida to participate in a huge match play event with I believe a $5k payout to whoever comes out on top. The date of the final matches for the Player's Cup are November 19-21.

I need to have the qualifier sometime in September but Sept. is pretty booked with tournaments already. What I'm doing now is trying to plant the seed to see who all is interested (Alex), who wants to try to qualify, and who can a...

Unfortunately, we have to cancel this Saturday's NC9HC#4. I will not be around to run it and there are 3 other events happening the same day, so I doubt we would have people come anyway. There is a PDGA C-Tier event in Cheyenne, Paul is having an Ace Race event at his course in Pine and also the Johnny Roberts Memorial Fundraiser tournament is all happening this Saturday.

Please don't worry about missing this event. I won't penalize anyone on points or anything like that and I will make our accounting of scores very fair for everyone in this series. Don't forgot about our last NC9HC#5, which will be 3 courses in Denver on Saturday, September 18. This is the day before our CDSA Award...
